Designed for engagement of existing and future combat tanks, protected with both add-on and built-in Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA), as well as fortifications, fire emplacements, and other small-size targets.

The upgraded Metis-M1 system possesses the Metis-M system basic features, while offering combat and operation characteristics improvement.

The improved 9M131M Missile

 

The upgraded 9P151M Launcher

  • Possesses the dimensions and weight of the 9M131M standard missile;
  • Provides firing range up to 2000m;
  • Features a new warhead, ensuring 950mm armour penetration behind ERA.
 
  • Possesses the dimensions of the 9P151 standard launcher;
  • Possesses lower weight due to the use of new microprocessor;
  • Features increased jamming immunity.

The system features the Metis-M ATGM Thermal imager.

 

The system is upgraded to provide firing range of up to 1600m by improved missiles from standard launcher, as well as up to 1500m by standard missiles from upgraded launcher.

The Metis-M ATGM maintenance facilities and training aids are used to operate the Metis-M1 system.

The training aids comprise field and classroom computer simulators.

The maintenance facilities allow checking the launcher and thermal sight serviceability.

The in-service operation demonstrated the portable Metis-family ATGM systems to be lethal and effective versatile defense-and-assault weapons.
