Business visits

In January A.L.Rybas, Designer General /Director of KBP, has visited India and Chaina. A.L. Rybas was among Russian business representatives who accompanied V.V. Putin, the President of Russia, during his official visit to India.

The delegation comprised of S. Chemezov, Director General of the ROSOBORONEXPORT State Corporation; V. Yakunin, President of JSC Russian Railroad; A. Rybas, Designer General /Director of KBP; M. Pogosyan, Director of Sukhoi Design Bureau; A. Kazmin, President of Saving Bank; A.Fiodorov Head of Joint Aircraft Building Company; B. Obnosov Director General of Tactical Missiles Armament Corporation.

Moreover, A.L. Rybas, being a member of the delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister S.B. Ivanov, participated as an expert in making up resulting documents of Indo-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission 6th Meeting on Military Cooperation.

In the course of negotiations in India the matters regarding the operation of the Russian delegation were considered. As far as the KBP cooperation activity, actually it was not discussed. The meetings concerning business profile of KBP were carried out within the frame of previous requests of India to the address of our company.

In any case all further contracts of KBP with India will go through ROSOBORONEXPORT State Corporation.

As regards the visit of the delegation to China, they exclusively discussed the matters on KBP projects. Despite of the fact that China was the first country to which KBP awarded the delivery contract (it was worth USD 120 000 000) the last contracts with China were signed in 1996. On the whole, according to A.L. Rybas, Designer General /Director, the visit was fruitful and useful for both parties. The cooperation is complicated due to strong governmental control in China. It is required to pass through an intricate arrangement procedure at the governmental level, to proceed to the contracts study.

The exposition presented an authentic view of the lines of developments of highly precise weapons offered by KBP for export.

The representatives of governments, defence and industry, members of international delegations and other official guests of the exhibition from the countries worldwide have visited the exposition of our company. The visitors were mostly interested in Pantsir-S1 missile/gun air defence system, Kornet-E ATGW, Kvartet automated launching unit, Krasnopol-M2 Guided Artillery System, Berezhok and Bakhcha-U upgrading armament packages for armoured fighting vehicles, GSH-18 pistol, PP-2000 machine-gun, GM-94 magazine grenade launcherAGS-30 automatic grenade launcher with GPD-30 round; grenade launchers and small arms as a whole.

Within the frame of participation in the exhibition activity a number of agreements on military- and- technical cooperation with foreign companies was achieved.
