Cannon and machine gun armament is widely employed in virtually all service arms. No wonder the development of cannon and machine gun armament became the main line of KBP activity since its very foundation. Currently KBP is one of the world leaders carrying out works on upgrading earlier and developing new models of this type of armament. There have been developed and introduced into service the automatic cannons that formed the basis of contemporary Russian system of small-caliber artillery armament. All KBP-developed automatic cannons outperform their foreign counterparts.
