The system is designed to deliver fire at shore-based, surface and individual air targets for the purpose of self-defense.

The mount carries two NSVT-12.7 machine guns.

The firer aims with the use of periscopic sight and manually lays the mount using the elevating and traversing mechanisms.

The turret is made of armor, 6mm thick.

For the ships where ejection of fired cartridge cases on the deck is not allowed, the mount is provided with a ring collector from which the cases are unloaded into the ship containers during the turret rotation.
